FREMONT — One person was killed, and two others were injured in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday on Sandusky County Road 65 in Washington Township, west of Fremont.

Latoya Minniefield, 33, of Fremont, who was a passenger in a car driven by Deshaun Cash, 27, also of Fremont, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

She was ejected from the vehicle, troopers said.

Authorities said Mr. Cash drove off the right side of the road while he was eastbound west of County Road 90, at 12:30 a.m.

After his car returned to the road, he lost control, and the car slid off the left side of the road and hit a tree, troopers said.

Mr. Cash and another passenger, Brittany Minniefield, 24, of Fremont, were ejected from the vehicle.

Troopers said Mr. Cash was in serious condition at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, where Brittany was listed in fair condition on Sunday.

Troopers said the three were not wearing seat belts.
