COLUMBUS — The Ohio House on Wednesday sent Gov. John Kasich a bill that would make it easier to prosecute those who sell or hire minors for sex.

House Bill 130, sponsored by Rep. Teresa Fedor (D., Toledo) and expected to be signed by the governor, would increase the penalties for the “johns” who solicit minors, ease the burden of proof in prosecuting traffickers who sell the services of minors under the age of 16, and targets massage parlors that front for prostitution.

Among other things, the bill would require the removal of names of minor trafficking victims from police records even if they have their own criminal records.
