An 84-year-old man pleaded no contest today to two charges stemming from a fatal hit-and-run accident in February.

Robert W. Conboy of 4908 Monac Dr. was then found guilty by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gene Zmuda of aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to stop after an accident, both third-degree felonies punishable by up to three years in prison.

Conboy was driving eastbound in the 3500 block of West Alexis Road Feb. 12 when he struck a pedestrian, Donald Galdys, 59, of Toledo who was walking westbound in the eastbound curb lane. Conboy then drove to his Jamieson Drive apartment, while Mr. Galdys was later pronounced dead at Toledo Hospital.

Judge Zmuda scheduled sentencing for July 30.
