Monroe Township man sought in stabbing

MONROE — Monroe County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a stabbing suspect they consider to be armed and dangerous.‍

Wanted for a Sunday night stabbing in Monroe Township is Javion Jamar Olive, 24, of the township. Deputies allege that he stabbed a 22-year-old LaSalle Township man about 11 p.m. in the 1100 block of Delta Drive in Willow Green Mobile Home Park.

The victim’s girlfriend, a 23-year-old Monroe woman, suffered cuts to her hands when she attempted to stop the suspect, who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend once in the torso. The male victim also had cuts to his hands.

The man was taken to Mercy Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Authorities said he is expected to survive. The victims’ names were not released.

Deputies describe Mr. Olive as black, 6 feet, 3 inches tall, and 300 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Mall Road at the Custer Estates Apartments where his getaway vehicle was found early Monday.
