Edith Detweiler killed in crash at State Rt. 109 and U.S. 20

LYONS,Ohio -- Authorities today have identified Edith Detweiler of Ann Arbor as the person killed when a car and a commercial truck collided at State Rt. 109 and U.S. 20 in Fulton County’‍s Royalton Township.

Ms. Detweiler, 79, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash Tuesday evening, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

The car was northbound on Route 109 about 7:50 p.m. when for unknown reasons it failed to stop at the intersection with U.S. 20 and struck the truck operated by Michael Viscuso, Jr., 38, of Lomira, Wis., according to the patrol.

U.S. 20 was closed for about three hours in Royalton Township, which is about 20 miles west of Toledo.

Mr. Viscuso was not injured, the patrols said. Both drivers used seat belts.
