Bond set at $75,000 for man charged with aggravated robbery

Bond was set at $75,000 today for a man who allegedly instructed another to shoot Jeffery Burks late Tuesday night.

Charged with aggravated robbery is Christopher Bourn, 41, of 1032 Lincoln Ave. During the suspect‘s arraignment in Toledo Municipal Court he was ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of bond. The case was continued until Thursday.

According to an affidavit, the suspect and an unidentified man tried to rob the victim at Dorr Street and Junction Avenue, in Toledo‘s central city, at 11:17 p.m. The unidentified suspect pulled out a gun, a struggle ensued, and the unidentified man reportedly asked Mr. Bourn if he should shoot the victim, which Mr. Bourn reportedly answered in the affirmative. The victim was shot in his lower back as he tried to flee, police said.

The victim‘s condition was not available.‍
