    FINDLAY — A male pilot and a female passenger were killed early today when a Lancair small aircraft crashed on a road northeast of Findlay in Cass Township, Hancock County deputies said.

    The pilot was Ralf Bronnenmeier, CEO of Grob Systems in Bluffton, authorities said.

    At around 1:10 a.m., the plane crashed into a ditch near Hancock County roads 18 and 216. One power line came down after being clipped by the plane.

    The plane was traveling from Holland, Mich., to Bluffton, Ohio. 

    The roadway remains closed as the investigation continues by the county sheriff‘‍s office and coroner’‍s office, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Transportation Safety Board.
