A man wearing a yellow surgical mask robbed a Springfield Township credit union Monday.
Lucas County sheriff’s deputies were called to Toledo Co-op Credit Union, 2422 S. Holland Sylvania Rd., about 9:15 a.m. after the man, armed with a silver handgun, vaulted the counter and demanded money from tellers. Officials did not say how much money the suspect took.
He was described as black, in his early 20s, 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighing 120 to 140 pounds.
Police in Toledo also are investigating unrelated robberies.
A West Toledo BP gas station, 1702 W. Laskey Rd., was robbed at 10:05 p.m. Friday. Police said two people went into the store and demanded cash from an employee. One was armed with a dark-colored handgun; the second acted as a lookout, police said.
Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, a driver for Black and White Cab Co. was parked at Franklin Park Mall, 5001 Monroe St., to smoke a cigarette when a suspect approached and put a gun to the driver’s head. The suspect took the victim’s cash and then fled.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
