A Toledo man charged with a murder Sunday was ordered today to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $1 million bond.

Tyler Garn, 20, of 1019 Hawk St., is accused of stabbing to death Aaron Hummer, 21, at 1:34 a.m. Sunday at 3633 Almeda Dr., according to court documents. Toledo police Lt. Dan Gerken described the victim and suspect as friends. He said the two got into an argument at Hummer‘‍s home on Almeda -- about what was unclear -- that apparently led to the fatal stabbing.

Hummer‘s body was found outside and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Lieutenant Gerken said. The lieutenant declined to say if there were witnesses or if a weapon was recovered.

Dr. Cynthia Beisser, a Lucas County deputy coroner, said Hummer was stabbed twice in the chest and also had defensive wounds on his hands and right arm.

Mr. Garn is due in court for a preliminary hearing Aug. 14.
