Since Robert Harris was shot dead in the 800 block of Vance Street in July, police have exhausted their leads in trying to find the person or people responsible and are now hoping that the public can phone in tips that will lead to an arrest.

Mr. Harris, 28, was shot twice — one time each in his back and right thigh — about 10:50 p.m. July 5. Mr. Harris later was pronounced dead at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He was the city’s 14th homicide victim of the year.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
