Man dies after shooting near Greenbelt Place Apartments
No suspects from the Toledo incident, police say
3/1/2017A 24-year-old man died today after being shot inside the Greenbelt Place apartment complex.
Jonathan Cain was found this afternoon at the courtyard area of 827 Walnut St., said police spokesman Lt. Joe Heffernan, and was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center where he later died.
Lieutenant Heffernan said the man was shot at least once. The 911 call, which came in about 1:24 p.m., was originally reported as a shot in the neck.
So far there are no suspects.
“We’re working on trying to review some video and other evidence and talk to some other witnesses to try and narrow down the suspect,” Lieutenant Heffernan said.
Area residents refused to comment.
