RENO BEACH, Ohio – A Millbury man and two Curtice men are dead following a fatal crash today at Teachout Road and State Rt. 2 in Jerusalem Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash was reported at 8:39 a.m. A silver Ford pickup truck that was southbound on Teachout traveled off the south side of the intersection with State Rt. 2. The pickup struck a tree, and overturned, ejecting an occupant.

The driver was identified as Jamey Metroff, 29 of Millbury. His passengers were Daniel Teet, 30, and Joshua Teet, 27, both of Curtice. All occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

Troopers said alcohol was a factor in the crash, and the occupants were not wearing their safety belts.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Jerusalem Township Fire Department, Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The crash is still under investigation.
