An East Toledo convenience store was robbed three times within the past week, including twice in a matter of hours early Wednesday morning, according to police.

The 7-Eleven, 1321 Navarre Ave., was robbed by two armed suspects on Saturday before being robbed again twice on Wednesday morning, Toledo police reports show. No injuries were reported and the total loss of money or items is unknown.

The Saturday robbery occurred at about 3 a.m. Two suspects came into the store, pointing guns at the clerk and demanding money, according to a police report. The employee put an unknown amount of cash in a grocery bag and the suspects then fled the convenience store, police said.

Then, at about 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, a man walked into the store and brandished a handgun, police reported. The suspect in that robbery demanded cash and walked the clerk to the back of the store while then demanding cigarettes.

The man fled the store with a “small amount” of cash and a carton of cigarettes, police said.

Less than 2 hours later, the store was hit again with a shoplifting-turned-robbery incident, said Toledo Police Department spokesman Sgt. Kevan Toney.

The 7-Eleven manager saw a man putting a four pack of energy drinks in his coat pocket, according to police. The manager confronted the suspect at the front door, trying to keep the door shut.

The suspect began to struggle with the manager and pushed him through the doors and onto the ground, police said.

The incident was reported to police at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Sergeant Toney said Wednesday afternoon investigators do not believe any of the three incidents are connected. Police continue to investigate.

A manager at the story declined to comment on Wednesday evening, but an employee there confirmed police had placed a mobile SkyCop camera on the property that day.
