Toledo police continue to investigate East Toledo shooting

  • Toledo police continue to investigate Monday’s East Toledo shooting that left three men injured. 

    Police were called to the shooting in the 1000 block of Greenwood Avenue at approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday when the three men were sitting on a porch when an unknown gunmen emerged from behind the home and began firing. 

    OBJECTInvestigators found Terry Carpenter, 43, shot and on the ground. James Gordon, 41, was inside the residence with a gunshot wound. Donnell Burton, 42, also suffered a graze wound to the left shoulder.

    They were all transported to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, but were not listed as patients Tuesday, according to a hospital spokesman. The three men are expected to survive, according to Toledo police.

    No arrests had been made as of Tuesday afternoon.
