EDITOR'S NOTE: This version corrects that the replacement candidates are Republican.

Two replacement candidates notified the Lucas County Board of Elections on Monday that they have accepted Republican party nominations to run for county office in November.

Brent McCormack, of 2801 Scarlet Oak Dr., Sylvania Township, will run against Democratic incumbent Tina Skeldon Wozniak for Lucas County commissioner. Also running is independent Kevin Haddad.

Constantine Stamos, of 3632 W. Central Ave., Toledo, will run against Democratic incumbent Bernie Quilter for Lucas County clerk of courts.

Mr. McCormack replaces Jonathon Anderson, who withdrew from the race, and Mr. Stamos replaces Hans Schnapp, who pulled out to take a job on the elections board in April.

Both were nominated Sunday by the Lucas County Republican Party executive committee.
