GOP groups to discuss redistricting ballot issue

Several area Republican clubs have planned a forum next week for discussion of Ohio Issue 2, which changes the state's procedure for redrawing congressional and legislative districts after each decennial census.

"Members of the proposed commission will not be chosen by voters, but selected by a panel of appellate court judges," a statement announcing the forum noted. "There is no provision for their removal."

The Sept. 11 forum is to begin at 7 p.m. in the Maumee Senior Center, 2340 S. Detroit Ave.
