President Obama will return to campaign in Ohio for his re-election early next week, the Obama campaign announced today.

The President will travel to Columbus and Cincinnati for campaign events on Monday.

Mr. Obama was most recently in Ohio over the Labor Day weekend, when he held a fund-raising event at the Toledo Hilton hotel on Sunday evening and and then gave a Labor Day-related speech at Scott High School.

He’ll be only a few days behind Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney who is scheduled to attend a fund-raiser in Cleveland on Friday.

The two candidates for vice president — incumbent Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Paul Ryan — will hold competing events on Wednesday, with Mr. Biden in Dayton and Mr. Ryan in Owensville, near Cincinnati.
