Redfern wins Ohio House seat

PORT CLINTON - Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern, of Catawba Island Township, has won the 89th House District seat to represent Erie and Ottawa counties.

With all precincts reporting, Mr. Redfern won 34,945 to 22,173 over Republican Donald Janik of Huron.

Mr. Redfern said his years of public service in the region and work criss-crossing the district propelled him to the victory as well as his concern over the health of Lake Erie, which he said resonated with voters.
