Stainbrook extends term on state board

COLUMBUS — Lucas County Republican Party Chairman Jon Stainbrook has been reappointed by Gov. John Kasich to the Ohio Athletic Commission through Sept. 2, 2016.

In addition to regulating sports agents, the former state boxing commission regulates such sports as boxing, martial arts, wrestling, and kickboxing.

The governor also recently named Bowling Green optometrist Cheryl Archer to the State Board of Optometry for a term lasting through Sept. 24, 2018.
