Allison Janney promised a Toledo audience full of West Wing fans one big incentive if Hillary Clinton is elected president.

She’ll come back and do “The Jackal.”

West Wing viewers remember — and love — the first-season episode in which C.J. Cregg, the unflappable press secretary portrayed by Janney, lip-syncs to the Ronny Jordan song.

Actor Allison Janney signs and autograph for William Dailey, Toledo, as cast members from "The West Wing" campaign for Hillary Clinton at the Clinton campaign office on North Reynolds Road Saturday.

The actress told a Toledo crowd today that she will reprise her famous rendition if the Democratic presidential nominee defeats Republican Donald Trump in November.

“We are going to win Ohio, and elect Hillary Clinton. And, when we do, I will come back here on this flatbed and do ‘The Jackal,’” Janney said, to roars of approval. “To celebrate the history that we are going to make together.”

She made the pledge during a tour around the swing-state of Ohio, in which she joined five former West Wing castmates. They stood in the back of a pick-up truck that served as a makeshift stage to rally a crowd of several hundred who gathered at a Clinton campaign office parking lot.

Janney, who currently stars in the sitcom Mom, performed a rendition of “The Jackal” on The Arsenio Hall Show in 2013.

West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin reportedly wrote Janney’s lip-synched performance into a script after seeing her perform it for fun for the crew.

Fans on Twitter exploded with enthusiasm over the idea for a repeat performance of the song in Toledo.

One tweeted: “Most important political news of the day.”

Others chimed in with big plans of their own: “It's time to move to Ohio,” responded one.
