CINCINNATI - Free-agent defensive tackle Bryan Robinson, a Toledo native, signed a three-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals yesterday, bolstering the team's porous defense against the run.

The Bengals declined to release contract details for the Woodward graduate. The team's Web site reported it was a $6 million deal.

Robinson, 30, played six seasons with Chicago before spending last season in Miami, where he had 69 tackles and 13 starts.

Robinson has missed just one game in the last six seasons, starting 90 of 96 games. He is the Bengals' third signing since the free-agent season began March 2. The team re-signed wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh and running back Rudi Johnson, who lost the chance to become an unrestricted free agent when the Bengals declared him their franchise player.
