ALLEN PARK, Mich. The Detroit Lions will be on national TV

three times in 2005, highlighted by a matchup with Atlanta s Michael Vick on Thanksgiving at Ford Field.

The Lions will play on prime time Sunday night, Dec. 11, on the road

against Green Bay and in a preseason game, Monday night, Aug. 29

at home against St. Louis.

Detroit opens its season Sept. 11 by hosting the Packers, then travels to Chicago in Week 2.

The Lions will also host Baltimore (Oct. 9), Carolina (Oct. 16), Chicago (Oct. 30), Arizona (Nov. 13), Minnesota (Dec. 4) and Cincinnati (Dec. 18).

After playing at Chicago followed by a bye in Week 3, Detroit travels to

Tampa Bay on Oct. 2 and has road games against Cleveland (Oct. 23), Dallas (Nov. 20), Green Bay (Dec. 11), New Orleans (Dec. 24) and in the regular-season fi nale against Pittsburgh

(Jan. 1)

CLEVELAND The Browns will celebrate the holidays with home

games against two rivals next season, facing Pittsburgh on Christmas Eve and Baltimore on New Year s Day.

The Browns only nationally televised game on the 2005 schedule is a Sunday night matchup at Pittsburgh on Nov. 13.

Cleveland opens the season at home for the seventh straight year,

taking on AFC North opponent Cincinnati.

The Browns will face Jacksonville, Tennessee, Chicago, Detroit and

Miami at home. Road games include Houston, Indianapolis, Green Bay, Oakland and Minnesota.
