The next chapter for professional boxing in the Glass City takes place tonight at the Sports Arena.

Toledoan Dallas Vargas headlines a scheduled six-fight professional card called "Momma Said Knock You Out." Vargas, who owns a 20-2 professional record (16 knockouts), will face Brock Stodden in the main event.

Vargas' brother, Devin, the 2004 U.S. Olympic heavyweight, takes an 8-0 professional record into a bout with Dione Craig. It's the Olympian's first bout since undergoing surgery on his right elbow and left knee on Feb. 7.

"It's a huge fight for me since I'm coming off the second surgery on my knee," said Devin, who has knocked out four fighters in his pro career. "This is a test to see if everything is in working order."

"All the fights are going to be great fights."

Also, Monroe native Bronco McKart (47-6), a former World Junior Middleweight champion, will step to the canvas to face Jose Spearman in a scheduled middleweight bout.

The undercard is also scheduled to include Wauseon's Nune Molina squaring off with Corey Budd, Toledoan Martin Tucker meeting John Lipcomb and Shawn White taking on Chris Govan.

Weigh-ins are scheduled to take place today at 3 in the Roosevelt Room at the Hotel Seagate, 141 North Summit St.

Tickets are $20, $25 and $30 through Ticketmaster or the Sports Arena box office at 419-698-4545.
