Vargas set to fight March 27 in Detroit
3/16/2010Toledoan Devin Vargas, a 2004 Olympian, is scheduled to fight March 27 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
Vargas (18-1, 7 knockouts) will be involved in an undercard bout prior to the main event pitting 2004 Olympic bronze medalist Andre “The Matrix” Dirrell (18-1, 13 KO) against Arthur Abraham (31-0, 25 KO) in a super middleweight fight.
An opponent for Vargas has not yet been announced. The Glass City boxer stopped journeyman Terrell Nelson by unanimous decision in his last fight several months ago.
Ronald Hearns, son of former boxer Thomas Hearns, is also scheduled to fight.
