CLEVELAND — Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas has agreed to play the rest of the season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Agent Herb Rudoy said Tuesday that Ilgauskas decided to re-sign with the Cavaliers but still plans to pursue free agency in the offseason.

The team had no immediate comment. Ilgauskas was at the Cavs' practice facility Tuesday but had yet to sign the contract. He hoped to leave with his teammates later in the day for a two-game road trip.

Cleveland sent Ilgauskas to Washington at the trade deadline in a three-team deal that brought Antawn Jamison and Sebastian Telfair to the Cavaliers.

Ilgauskas spent his entire career in Cleveland before the trade. He is averaging 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds this season and is the franchise leader in games played, blocks and rebounds.
