Knights beat Royals to end 24-game skid

BLOOMDALE — Otsego rolled on the ground for 393 yards for its first victory since the 2008 season opener, ending a losing streak of 24 games.

Otsego (1-5, 1-2 SLL) had lost 16 straight league games.

Job Jay was the Knights' workhorse, carrying the ball 41 times for 189 yards and three touchdowns. Jay scored on runs of 1, 4 and 3 yards. David Fleetwood gained 126 yards in just four carries including touchdown runs of 70 and 43 yards.

Jonah Harter opened the Otsego scoring with a 20-yard field goal.

For Elmwood (3-3, 1-1), Jack Waldock passed 22 yards to Jay Hannah for a TD, then ran in from four yards out and from two yards out on the other TDs.

MILLBURY — The Flyers pushed across two fourth-quarter touchdowns to remain undefeated in the Suburban Lakes League.

Kurt McKee hauled in a 75-yard scoring pass from Nathan Pennington to snap a 14-14 deadlock, then Pennington tallied on a 12-yard scamper to provide the final cushion.

Carl Brown staked Lake (5-1,3-0) to a 14-0 lead with a pair of one-yard scoring runs. Brown finished with 60 yards on 13 carries.

The Wildcats (2-4, 0-3) fought back with a seven-yard scoring run from Pierce Fonseca in the second quarter and a 76-yard TD run from Jacon Icsman in the third quarter.
