Michigan International Speedway will host 28 drivers and teams on Monday when it holds its second Goodyear tire testing session this year.

The session begins at 9 a.m. and is free to the public.

"This test will help Goodyear select a tire that is more compatible with the fast Michigan racing surface and improve an already competitive race weekend from start to finish," NASCAR Vice President of Competition Robin Pemberton said in a release.

The testing field is expected to include current Sprint Cup points leader Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Rochester Hills, Mich., resident Brad Keselowski, and Kurt Busch.

Testing times, track schedule, and drivers are subject to change because of weather or other circumstances.

MIS will host the Pure Michigan 400 on Aug. 19.
