Walleye honored for marketing, community involvement
Toledo earns ECHL's Team Award of Excellence for fifth time
6/19/2017For the fifth time in their eight seasons as a pro hockey franchise, the Toledo Walleye have received the ECHL's Team Award of Excellence.
The honor goes to the ECHL organization that executes a well-rounded business plan including sales, marketing, media relations, and merchandising while also distinguishing itself in the community.
It was the third year in a row that the Walleye earned the honor. The organization also earned the ECHL award in 2010 and 2012.
Toledo also won the ECHL's award for best ticket department.
League officials announced the awards last week at the ECHL's annual meetings in Las Vegas.
