Toledo rental units draw 250 bidders to auction

7/28/2009

About 250 bidders attended a sale at the Hilton Garden Inn/ Perrysburg that auctioneers described as the largest mass auction of rental property in Toledo history.

Nearly 1,000 units in 103 buildings were involved in the auction Friday, conducted by sisters Beth and Pam Rose for trusts established by the late Roger and Florence Dunbar. Mr. Dunbar was a major post-war developer who built subdivisions for returning GIs.

Trust officials are considering an offer for the 192-unit Glendale Village in southwest Toledo, Beth Rose said. Other properties sold. She declined to say how much the auction generated.
