Home builders cite Lima in improved markets

Lima, Ohio, was included Monday in the National Association of Home Builders monthly list of 30 improving housing markets nationwide.

Lima was on the new list because of gains for at least six months in housing permits, employment, and housing prices. It was the only Ohio market mentioned.

The trade group’s report shows the Allen County town’s growth in permits from their low point in January is 7.2 percent, its growth in home prices from their low point in December is 4.7 percent, and its growth in employment from its low point in June, 2010, is 2.1 percent.
