Median asking price for homes in Toledo falls

The National Association of Realtors said the median asking price for homes in metro Toledo in September was down slightly from a year ago, while inventory fell significantly.

Realtors.com said the median asking price for homes in metro Toledo was $107,500 last month. That’s down 4 percent from September, 2011. The average price was up $2,500, or 2.4 percent, from August.

The average national list price in September was $191,500, up slightly from the same point last year. The median is the point at which half are higher and half are lower.

The Web site said there were 3,417 homes for sale in the Toledo area in September, down 15 percent from last year. The median time on the market was 100 days, up 8.7 percent from August. The national average time on the market was 95 days.
