There is a 241-home subdivision on 106 acres coming to Perrysburg.

The first plat of the Hawthorne development south of Coe Court and north of Roachton Road and west of the railroad tracks has been approved by the city Planning Commission.

The first plat has 30 lots, but but the city still needs to approve the final plat before zoning permits can be issued to obtain building permits. Brody Walters, Perrysburg planning and zoning administrator, said he expects construction to begin in the next month.

The initial lots are being built off of Roachton Road and Woods Edge Road and Dwyer Drive each will be extended from adjacent subdivisions. The plat calls for three cul-de-sacs and a storm water detention area.

The subdivision will be built by Saba Custom Homes in Toledo, the builder which developed the Brookhaven subdivision on the south side of Five Point Road just west of Fort Meigs Road.
