Perrysburg Twp. trustees to talk rezoning

94 acres off Glenwood Road the focus on Wednesday

Danberry National’s proposal to rezone 94 acres off Glenwood Road from agricultural to residential use will be the subject of a hearing Wednesday evening in the Perrysburg Township trustees’ meeting room.

Danberry representatives said during a zoning commission meeting about the proposal that the zone change would make the land easier to sell, since some neighboring land already is zoned industrial.

But some nearby property is residential, and after hearing complaints from residents that industrial development would worsen traffic hazards on Glenwood and Lime City roads and hurt their property values, the zoning commission voted 4-0 on April 14 to recommend that the township trustees reject the change.

The trustees’ hearing will start at 6 p.m. The trustees moved their normal 2 p.m meeting that day to 5 p.m.
