DETROIT - Gustav Nyquist's 28th goal of the season lifted the Detroit Red Wings to a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins tonight at Joe Louis Arena.

Nyquist scored the game-winner with 7:12 left in the third period to help the Red Wings rally from a 2-1 deficit.

A minute after officials waved off Torey Krug's goal, Johnny Boychuk's shot from the point gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead with 3:10 left in the first.

Tomas Tatar's shot from right circle tied the game at 1-1 4:45 into the second, as a hooking penalty to Patrice Bergeron expired, and Carl Soderberg gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead 1:10 into the third before Tomas Jurco tied the game at 2-2 with less than nine minutes left.

Jimmy Howard made 33 saves for Detroit, and Tuukka Rask made 27 saves for Boston.

The Red Wings are the Eastern Conference's first wild-card team with 86 points and host the Buffalo Sabres at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Joe Louis Arena.
