Beyond Dad’s recliner to the whole house La-Z-Boy provides comfort

If you thought a La-Z-Boy reclining chair was simply the overstuffed yet insanely comfortable chair your dad settled into and flipped back to enjoy the game, well, at one time, you may have been correct.
How times have changed.
La-Z-Boy still is recognized around the world for unbelievably comfortable furniture. There are three La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in the Toledo area, all offering a relaxing shopping environment. But don’t imagine that they are relaxed about earning your business. “Our professional sales associates are available to assist you in making the right purchase for your home,” says Matt Simpson, regional manager for the firm. “In 2011, we hired Amber Williams as a full-time designer for our in-home program. A shopper can come into one of our stores, work with a sales associate, and if she needs additional help, Amber, who has a bachelor of science degree in interior design, will come out to the customer’s home for an in-home visit. “Our team will measure the room and discuss with the client her style, colors, and the items the client is keeping in the home. The client is then invited back to the store for a presentation of her project. “Since this program has been in placed, it continues to grow,” Mr. Simpson says. “We expect we’ll need a second designer before long.”
La-Z-Boy is not only a great place to shop, it is a great friend to the communities it serves. La-Z-Boy is the official furniture provider for all the Ronald McDonald Houses across the United States. “At La-Z-Boy Toledo, our employees volunteer at the local Ronald McDonald House, providing and preparing meals for the families staying at the house while their children are receiving care at one of Toledo’s hospitals,” Mr. Simpson says. “I love this relationship between La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
