To fulfill its long-standing mission of caring and compassion, Mercy is on the move across Northwest Ohio with new healthcare facilities and services. Mercy is energized by these exciting new opportunities to provide the best care possible for its patients, and improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve.

In 2013, Mercy will introduce residents of Perrysburg and Northern Wood County to hospital quality emergency care that is close to where they live, work and play. The Mercy Emergency and Diagnostic Center will provide a fully staffed and equipped emergency department, the first freestanding ER in the region.

Mercy Arrowhead Surgery Center on Arrowhead Road in Maumee is committed to Mercy’s tradition of personal service and high quality care. Current specialties at the Center include: Arrowhead Plastic Surgery, Mercy Pain Management, Vascular Professionals Inc., and Mercy Occupational Therapy. The Center provides convenient access for patients in Maumee, Perrysburg, Monclova, Whitehouse, Waterville, Holland, Springfield and South Toledo.

For those struggling with obesity The Mercy Weight Management Center offers new hope with the region's most advanced surgical and nonsurgical weight loss options. The Center recently performed the region's first robotic gastric sleeve surgery, a bariatric weight loss option with less pain and faster recovery.

In Tiffin and Willard, state-of-the-art replacement hospitals are meeting the growing needs of a rural population. And in Defiance, an exciting new partnership connects the region with Mercy's broad network of specialists and hospitals.

What happens when a patient experiences symptoms of a stroke in one of the hundreds of small towns across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan? With state-of-the-art telehealth technology, the patient's hometown doctors can communicate directly (audio and video) with the experienced team at the Mercy Stroke Center, designated a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission and a recipient of the Gold Seal of Approval®.

The latest minimally invasive procedures at The Mercy Robotic Surgery Center offer the most advanced robotic technology and highly trained and experienced surgeons. Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center was the first hospital in the region to invest in the da Vinci® Surgical System. Since 2003, our team of specially trained surgeons has completed over 1,700 robotic procedures in the areas of cardiology, gynecology and urology.

Building a strong and successful healthcare system is central to Mercy's mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus. A key element of our mission is to provide service and support programs that improve the health and wellness of the region.

Mercy provided more than $79.1 million of community benefit in 2011. With more than 7,500 employees and 2,500 medical staff members, Mercy has been a vital part of the communities it serves for more than 155 years.

Mercy is committed to expanding access to our full network of quality physicians, convenient outpatient services and seven hospital locations. An important part of this broad network is the group of more than 200 local physicians that are closely aligned with Mercy through their affiliation with Mercy Medical Partners.

Mercy is ... on the move.
