     Central Catholic High School is very proud of our Catholic faith that permeates all that we do. The mission of Central Catholic High School is to be a Catholic, comprehensive, coeducational institution enabling young men and women of diverse backgrounds to develop spiritually, academically, physically and socially by providing outstanding academic programs and opportunities to grow. Its overall vision is to provide the highest quality education to students in the Northwest Ohio area.

     Central Catholic is truly a comprehensive school. We offer four types of diplomas to our students – International Baccalaureate, honors college prep, college prep, and standard. We also offer specialized programs for students with different academic needs.

     Central Catholic High School was the first school in Northwest Ohio and the first Catholic school in the entire state to become an IB World School. The International Baccalaureate program is uniquely designed to serve intelligent, driven, and serious students who hope to change the world. It is a comprehensive, internationally recognized curriculum and assessment system for students in their last two years of high school. The IB’s internationally focused course of study encourages students to think globally as they are taught different learning methods using analysis to reach thoughtful conclusions.

     CCHS has distinguished itself as one of the most advanced high schools in the state in the area of technology integration. Every student receives a laptop when they enter Central Catholic. All of the classes use this technology to communicate and learn more effectively and efficiently. Our teachers are constantly engaged in professional development opportunities that feature the best ways to integrate technology into the curriculum.

     The philosophy and mission of Central Catholic calls all students to give of themselves to others. Our service learning program, called F.A.C.T. (Faithful Active Catholic Teens), is designed to encourage students to serve others as Christ served, thereby connecting service to living their faith, to educate our students on the social issues associated with Christian service, and to develop faithful citizens. Students at CCHS are engaged in the community and perform many types of service to learn about social issues and further develop their faith.

     Graduates from Central Catholic’s Class of 2012 earned nearly $16 million in college scholarships, and 83% of the students earned scholarship money for college. Ninety-two percent of students in the Class of 2012 are now attending a four-year or two-year college program, including 22 students who are pursuing athletics at the collegiate level.

     Central Catholic’s open house is scheduled for Sunday, November 11 from noon to 3 p.m. Grade school students, especially those in seventh and eighth grade, and their families are invited to tour the school and facilities to learn all about the opportunities CCHS offers. The open house gives visitors a chance to see how Central Catholic provides a unique combination of personalized coaching and customized college prep academics to groom students for the university of their choice.
