Toledo Bishop Leonard Blair has announced the following personnel appointments, effective July 1:

• Deacon John Algee will become pastoral leader of St. Martin de Porres Parish, Toledo, and the Rev. Martin Donnelly will be presbyteral moderator and parish chaplain of the parish.

• Father Donnelly will possess the faculties of pastor in care of the parish, Bishop Blair said, and he will continue to serve as administrator of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, Toledo.

• The Rev. Dennis Hartigan, pastor and president of Central Catholic High School, Toledo.

• The Rev. David Reinhart, pastor and president of Cardinal Stritch High School, Oregon, Ohio, effective Jan. 1, 2005. He will join the staff of the high school July 1, 2004.

• The Rev. Charles Singler, director of worship for the Diocese of Toledo. He will continue to serve as Rector of Our Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral.

Bishop Blair announced that Gesu Parish, Toledo, has been placed in the care of the religious congregation of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales effective July 1.

The parish had been in the care of the Detroit Province of the Society of Jesus, which announced in February that because of a shortage of priests it would no longer be able to oversee the parish.
