Byzantine bishop to make pilgrimage stop at St. Michael

The Most Rev. John Kudrick, bishop of the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Parma, will visit Oregon's St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church tomorrow as part of his pilgrimage to 37 parishes this year.

Bishop Kudrick will open his visit to St. Michael, 4001 Navarre Ave., with the sacrament of reconciliation at 9 a.m., followed by matins at 9:30 a.m., and a Divine Liturgy at 10:30.

Light refreshments will be at noon, and an akathist (prayer service traditionally held while standing) to St. John the Forerunner will be at 12:45 p.m.
