2 churches plan annual worship for Rev. King

Services honoring civil rights leader and Baptist minister Martin Luther King, Jr., will be held tomorrow in two Toledo churches.

Local Lutheran churches will hold their 15th annual worship celebration honoring the Rev. King at 4 p.m. in Glenwood Lutheran Church, 2545 Monroe St.

The speaker will be the Rev. Lawrence James Clark, associate to the bishop of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Special music will be provided by the Lutheran-Episcopal Multicultural Choir and St. Philip's Men's Chorus, and a reception and art display will follow the service.

The Baptist Ministers' Foresight organization plans a memorial service at 6 p.m. at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 3232 Nebraska Ave.

The program speaker will be the Rev. Madison Gregory, pastor of Love Missionary Baptist Church in Holland, and music will be provided by the Men's Chorus of Greater Harvest Baptist Church.
