Jewish comedian Chasnoff to make 3 local appearances

Joel Chasnoff, a Jewish comedian from Evanston, Ill., will be featured in a Community Comedy Night, 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Temple-Congregation Shomer Emunim, 6453 Sylvania Ave., Sylvania, with tickets priced at $5.

Mr. Chernoff, who has opened for such comedians as Jon Stewart, Lewis Black, and Gilbert Gottfried, also will perform a free event for Jewish teens at Beaner's coffee shop in the Cricket West shopping center at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and will speak on the subject, "Jewish Humor: What, Why, and for How Long?" at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Jewish Community Center's Leonard Lounge, 6465 Sylvania Ave., Sylvania.
