Symposium on breaking cycle of violence slated

A symposium on finding ways for faith-based initiatives to break what is considered a cycle of violence is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Medical College of Ohio's Dana Center, 3100 Glendale Ave.

The program is targeted for faith-based leaders, mental health professionals, criminal justice officials, educators, physicians, coaches, and other community leaders who want to learn how to reduce recidivism rates through spiritual initiatives.

The keynote speaker will be Krista Rush-Sisterhen, director of the governor's office of faith-based and community initiatives.
