Bacik lecture to open series on World Religions

The Rev. James Bacik will open the 2006 Spring Lecture Series at Corpus Christi University Parish with a talk on Christianity and Confucianism, at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The series is titled Christianity and World Religions and will feature six Tuesday night lectures through May 2. The speakers and their topics will be: Mary Boys, April 4, Christianity and Judaism ; the Rev. Robert Kennedy, SJ, April 11, Christianity and Buddhism ; James Fredericks, April, 18, Does the Theology of Religion Have a Future? ; Gabriel Said Reynolds, April 25, Christianity and Islam, and the Rev. Francis Clooney, SJ, May 2, Christianity and Hinduism.

All lectures at Corpus Christi, 2955 Dorr St. They begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by question-and-answer periods. The cost is $10 per lecture, or $30 for the series. Information: 419-531-4992.
