Shrine of Our Lady schedules novenas
8/4/2007CAREY, Ohio The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation will prepare for the Feast of the Assumption of Mary with a novena Monday through Aug. 14.
The novena weekday schedule includes Masses at 7 and 11 a.m.; the sacrament of reconciliation at 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday; evening devotions at 8 p.m.; and Sunday Masses at 8 and 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
The Rev. Tony Fox, a of Melbourne, Australia, will be the novena speaker, speaking at 8 p.m. daily except Sunday, when he will speak at 2:30 p.m.
On the Feast of the Assumption, a 9 p.m. candlelight procession will be held from the Basilica to Shrine Park, where Bishop Leonard Blair of the Toledo Catholic Diocese will celebrate Mass for the Vigil of the Feast.
