Bestselling author lectures on contemplation Feb. 9
2/2/2008The Rev. Donald Cozzens, author and visiting professor of religious studies at John Carroll University in Cleveland, will discuss "Thomas Merton and Contemplation" in a Toledo lecture Feb. 9.
Father Cozzens is a priest in the Cleveland diocese who holds a doctorate in religious studies from Kent State University.
He has served as spiritual director, counselor, and retreat master for monks, nuns, priests, and bishops, and is the author of the bestselling book The Changing Face of the Priesthood.
The lecture will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at St. Ursula Academy, 5024 Indian Rd., part of a series presented by the Ursuline Sisters on "A Wisdom People on a Spiritual Journey." Admission is $20. Information: 419-536-9587.
