The social, cultural, and political contributions of Catholic sisters were honored by the U.S. House of Representatives in a resolution approved last month.

House Resolution 441, introduced by U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo), recognized the nuns for establishing private schools, hospitals, and orphanages as well as for serving as activists to promote peace, justice, and democracy.
