Local breakfast to mark National Day of Prayer
5/5/2010The National Day of Prayer will be observed locally Thursday with the 21st annual Northwest Ohio Prayer Breakfast at Gladieux Meadows banquet hall, 4480 Heatherdowns Blvd.
The guest speaker will be Chuck Proudfit, founder of At Work on Purpose, which seeks to promote practical ways to live out one's Christian faith at work.
Breakfast starts at 7 a.m., after optional prayer and worship at 6:30, and the event is scheduled to conclude at 8:45. The cost is $15 per person. Information: 419-373-4728.
Another local National Day of Prayer observance is scheduled for 7 p.m. tomorrow with a service at Grace Lutheran Church, 4441 Monroe St.
