Conference planned on Mideast turmoil

Scholars and church leaders involved in Mideast religious, cultural, and political trends will focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict during a conference at Lakeside Sept. 7-9.

The Lakeside Theological Convocation, organized by Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, will include talks by Warren Clark, executive director of Churches for Middle East Peace; Susan Wilder, a Mideast representative for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; Pastor Rani Abdulmasih of Detroit, offering a Palestinian Christian perspective, and Bishop Bruce Burnside of the ELCA.
