University Church plans community garden, event
8/27/2010The University Church, 4747 Hill Ave., is starting a community garden and asking people to bring new or used garden tools to the church at 7 p.m. Wednesday for a night of country music and more.
The United Methodist-affiliated church will feature music by The Range and Toledo Country Music, an outreach of St. Andrew's UMC. Soft drinks and snacks will be available.
The garden will be overseen by an AmeriCorps worker and have a 2,100-plant vertical growing system. For more information, call 419-534-3080 or go online at theuniversitychurchtoledo.org.
