Author to lead mission at St. John the Baptist
2/25/2011Author and preacher the Rev. Tom Allender will lead a parish mission on "Processing Our Guilt" 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5153 Summit St.
He will speak on such topics as "The Difference Between Loving God and Letting God Love Us" and "Transforming our Fears into Faith." He also will preach at 8 a.m. Mass Saturday and Sunday.
Ordained a Jesuit priest in 1971, he received degrees in theology and philosophy and is the author of God Loves an Unmade Bed.
